From the staff of Baja Discovery, a big MUCHAS GRACIAS to all of you who made the long migration to southern Baja with us! We loved seeing so many familiar faces this year (a special thanks to those of you we see EVERY year), and we had so much fun meeting wonderful new friends!
To those of you who did not get on a trip this year, I am sorry. The inquiries and waiting lists for this 2015 season were unlike any I have ever had. In response to that demand, I added two trips to the schedule… most dates were sold out by mid October. Interest in the upcoming season is proving to be even greater, thus I am extending the 2016 schedule as well. Requests for both private group bookings (full trips), and open party reservations have dramatically increased over the past few years. I am gratified and humbled by the volume of enthusiastic phone calls and e-mails I receive on a weekly basis! Please know that I do my very best to accommodate these requests; however, I strongly recommend you plan ahead and book early!
I want to take this opportunity to thank my incredible family, friends, and Baja Discovery staff for all of their love and support these past three years, as I have transitioned into the role of business owner. It is still hard to believe that Karen has been gone from our lives for so long. Attempting to fill her shoes (always Birkenstocks!) has challenged me and scared me at times, but I learned from the best! She continues to guide me everyday, and I hope I am making her proud. For me, there is no greater honor or privilege than to carry on her legacy.
We miss her everyday but she is with us always, here at home and in Baja, flying with the pelicans, swimming with the whales… love you Kiki…
